Wakey, Wakey

I do  love seeing my kids' shining little faces each morning. But sometimes, particularly lately where the early June sunrise means "it's daytime, Mama" as of 5 a.m., it's also nice to dream of a bit of time to come to terms with reality first.

Every so often, I get a teaser.

Nice try, Mama. Oh well, I probably would've spent the whole time trying to decide how best to savour it anyway.

  1. Ha! Totally remember those days. Even now, I have times when all three kids are out of the house and I hardly know what to do with myself!

  2. This has totally been happening to us here, even though their bedrooms have blackout curtains on the north side of the house. This morning it was 4:51 for G, and yesterday it was 5:51 for H. I don't DO mornings.

  3. Hey Janet,
Long tim reader o your blog! I am hosting two fundraiser events in the near future for Fort McMurray and those affected by the Alberta Wildfires. I was wondering if you might be able to help me spread the word to your readers and make an appearance yourself with your boys!

The first event is on July 4th at 8pm at Absolute Comedy. This is an adult comedy show that also serves food and drinks at the venue. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. (Food and drinks not included in ticket price)

The second event, Fort Pizza, is a family and children event held at the Boston Pizza on Hunt club and Merivale. Families may arrive anytime from 5pm-9pm for dinner. There will also be music, karaoke, princesses, magicians and more! Tickets are $20 and each ticket provides a salad and pizza meal. There will also be a silent auction and opportunities to take pictures with many princess characters.

Proceeds from each event will be donated directly to the Canadian Red Cross for Fort McMurray. I would very much appreciate any help you would be able to give us to get the word out about our events. The more people we get the more we can help those affected in Alberta.
